We hope that you enjoyed your stay and are rejuvenated as you leave. Please do the following things upon leaving:
- Load and start the dishwasher with any dirty dishes
- Close and lock all windows and doors
Please do not feel obligated to do anything else on your way out the door; however, we understand some people enjoy leaving a tidier unit. For those people, you can do the following:
- Strip the bedding from used beds and leave on the bed
- Gather used towels & place inside a shower stall
We so appreciate our guests keeping the unit in good condition for future guests to enjoy for years to come.
We want our guests to feel like they are at home in our vacation rentals! Please feel free to use everything available to you. We do have a couple of rules we ask each guest to follow:
- Treat our space as you would your own home
- No smoking of any kind inside the building
- No use of candles or open flame.
- No pets (service animals welcome)
TV
Please feel free to use our subscription services on all the tvs. We currently have subscriptions to Netflix and Hulu Live. If you are having issues with the wifi or tvs please contact us for assistance!
*If you log into a personal account (Amazon, Paramount+, etc.), please log out before leaving. We do not monitor those apps, and other guests may be able to access your account if you do not sign out.
Misc.
- Wifi information can be found in your access information email!
- Extra trash bags, dishwasher pods, dish soap and a counter spray cleaner can be found under the kitchen sink.
- Use the fireplace! Your unit may either turn on via remote on the mantle or light switch near by.
- A broom and mop are located in the closet in the kitchen.
- Laundry pods and dryer sheets are above the dryer.
- An iron and board are also located near the washer/dryer.

Please use our parking spots during your stay! Our row of parking is private parking for our guests.
If you park along the streets, please note parking meters and snow/cleaning routes surrounding the Drake House. Paying for parking meters is the guest’s responsibility. The parking spots behind the Drake House are owned by the condominium next door; therefore, you cannot park in them or you risk being ticketed by the home owner’s
association.
Drake House is not responsible for any parking tickets incurred during your stay.

Please enjoy the luxurious hot tub! The hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled between each stay, making it clean and enjoyable for each new guest.
Hot Tub Rules:
To keep each guest safe and the hot tub working properly, please note the following rules:
-Do not add anything to the hot tub including bubbles, bath bombs, etc.. The hot tub is properly sanitized prior to each guest.
-No food or drinking while in the hot tub.
-No glass containers in or near the hot tub.
After enjoying:
Please be sure to close and buckle the hot tub after each use.
Troubleshooting
If there is ever an issue with a hot tub or you have any questions, please contact Jenn via Airbnb/VRBO messenger or text/call 563-599-8807. She would be happy to assist you.
Screen locked/buttons won’t work:
-Press and hold the LIGHTS and OPTIONS buttons for 3 seconds to unlock the keypad.
Hot Tub not up to temperature:
-Per industry standard, the highest temperature is 104⁰. If you arrive and the hot tub has not reached full temperature, please know that fully emptying and refilling the hot tub can take a bit of time. The cleaning crew does this first thing but depending on water and air temperature, it can take a couple hours to fully warm up. It should be ready by 4 pm but occasionally it needs a bit more time. Alternatively, using the hot tub can also make the water lose temperature. The FASTEST way for the hot tub to warm back up is with the CLOSED and jets OFF.
